Securing our services

Our services are secured to high industry standards, with defense-in-depth technology that starts with a secure operating system, relevant patches, strong firewalls, an intrusion detection system, a web application firewall, file and system integrity monitors, and remote log transport with daily analysis and review.

Our servers are also full redundant with geographic failover capabilities. We perform hourly and daily site and database backups including secure remote transport of the most critical data.

Our technology

Insurancelink.ca utilizes some of the most advanced security technology on the Internet. When you access a secure area of our site, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology protects and your information by using both server authentication and data encryption. This ensures that your data is safe, secure, and available only to the Registered User. This is the same technology used by some of the world's largest companies.

Our customers

Insurancelink.ca provides each User in your organization with a unique user name and password that must be entered during registration. We issue a per-session "cookie" to record authentication information, and to enable progress throuh course materials. That cookie usually goes away once you leave the site. No passwords are stored in the cookie so your information is not at risk. Insurancelink.ca does not use "cookies" to store other confidential user and session information.

In addition, insurancelink.ca servers are all located in secure environments, protected physically and with redundant failover to multiple locations across the country.
